About Us

St.Joseph Vineyard is a  family run boutique winery nestled  amid the rolling hills of the Grand River Valley.  At. St. Joseph, we believe that all great wines begin in the vineyard where the influences of cultivar, soil conditions, weather vitricultural and cellar practices are reflected in each vintage by what the French call terroir.  Our family has been growing wine grapes in Ohio since 1972.  In 1986 we planted our latest vinifera (French/European) grape vineyard within the Grand River Appellation to benefit from the unique microclimate the region provides

Throughout the year, you will observe family and friends out in the fields tending to the early stages of the wine making process including pruning, shoot positioning, thinning, hedging and other viticultural practices.

We believe that all great wines begin in the vineyard where the influences of cultivar, soil conditions, weather, viticultural and cellar practices are reflected in each vintage in what the French call terroir.

Starting with hand picked grapes to ensure fruit quality, our wines are produced in small quantities using traditional techniques. Our goal is to produce interesting wines which express the character, complexity and intensity of the vintage.
