Named by Golf Digest's Places to Play as one of the nation's Great Value courses in the public category, Silver Lakes is set on rolling terrain at the edge of Talladega National Forest between Anniston and Gadsden. Silver Lakes features three Championship nines plus a nine hole Short Course. This facility is anchored by a number of strong par fours that play to pedestal greens perched 30 to 40 feet above fairway level.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail At Silver Lakes - Mind Breaker Course

The Mindbreaker, although slightly easier than the other two courses at Silver Lakes, demands shot-making at its finest. The fairway on the 454-yard par-4 eighth is split by a meandering creek that must be avoided off the tee, as well as on the approach.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail At Silver Lakes - Heart Breaker Course

The Heartbreaker nine is dubbed by many as the most challenging nine on the Trail from the championship tees. Consider the 448-yard par-4 ninth with water rippling down the entire left side of the hole. The shot to the green must be accurate to stay out of the lake.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail At Silver Lakes - Back Breaker Course

The Backbreaker nine is a photographer's dream, boasting beautiful views of the Appalachian foothills from its elevated tees. You will know exactly how the Backbreaker course got its name by the time you hit your approach on the first hole. The green sits steeply above the fairway.
