Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities
Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center is proud to be called home to the largest producing musical theatre company in Southern California, the Ovation Award-winning Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities. RBPAC's official Resident Musical Theatre Company will present Kiss Me Kate and Cinderella to complete their 2007 Season. Their 2008 Season will offer Twice Upon A Time (world premier), Miss Saigon, Bye Bye Birdie, and Fiddler On The Roof.
Distinguished Speaker Series
Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center is honored to host the Distinguished Speaker Series, which has presented such dignitaries as Margaret Thatcher, Tom Brokaw, Walter Cronkite, Colin Powell, and Madeleine Albright. Their 2007-08 Season features former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, presidential advisor David Gergen, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, comedian/philanthropist Bill Cosby, journalists Lisa Ling and Charlie Rose, and Emmy Award-winning news anchor/journalist Chris Wallace.
Los Angeles Ballet
Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center welcomes the first professional ballet company to the Los Angeles area in 25 years! Having completed their first full season to universal critical acclaim, Los Angeles Ballet announces their new season, including their newly choreographed holiday classic The Nutcracker, plus classic works by Balanchine and Bournonville, as well as several world premiers.
