Lower and Upper Red Pine Lakes are popular hiking destinations from Little Cottonwood Canyon on the east side of Salt Lake Valley. They are located in the Lone Peak Wilderness and can be reached via a good trail from the White Pine Trailhead.

This is a popular area for snowshoeing during winter.
