Highlighting Lino Lakes

Randolph Youth Theater Company

Post Office Box 2527
Asheboro, NC 27204

The mission of this organization is “to stimulate the interest of children between the ages of eight and eighteen in theatrical activities, to enhance all aspects of theatrical arts, to offer theatrical presentations, (including, but not limited to: musicals, plays, workshops and readers’ theater productions) and to cooperate with area schools, libraries, and organizations on theatrical activities as requested.”

In the five years since our inception, over 450 youth have participated in our shows and workshops. Hopefully, you have been able to see at least one of our shows. During the past five summers, we have offered seventeen different workshops. Children of all ages have received instruction in improvisation, props, story telling, scene development and countless other topics from our outstanding directing staff. The workshops remain popular and remind us why we do what we do: there are talented young people here in Randolph County!

RYTC is managed by a group of local parents and our financial support comes entirely from the charitable contributions of community businesses and individuals. If you are interested in supporting RYTC, we would be most grateful!

Our Board of Directors is excited about the possibilities that exist for RYTC. In November of 2006, we became a North Carolina non-profit corporation. We continue to be encouraged by the interest in theater and the growth of RYTC has allowed this to happen.
