The Story of Prairie Song

Prairie Song is a frontier village museum built, owned and operated by Kenneth and Marilyn Moore Tate, descendants of pioneer Oklahomans They honor their families and ilic Oklahoma heritage of cowboy culture with their authentic reproduction village located on the land homesteaded by Marilyn's grandfather in the early I890's.

Prairie Song has been restocked with Texas longhorns, the original breed of cattle which were driven up the trail by Marilyn's grandfather from Texas to the Moore Ranch On the 1-1/2 mile drive from the ranch headquarters to Prairie Song Village, guests can enjoy a glimpse of life from days gone by as they watch the longhorn cattle graze on the bluestem prairie that has never been touched b\ the steel plow

In true pioneer fashion. Kenneth used no blueprints when building at Prairie Song His outstanding craftsmanship, accompanied by Marilyn's meticulous attention to detail in selecting antique furnishings, has resulted in a beautiful, unique labor of love.

Catering, offering a variety of delicious menus, and professional entertainment are provided by special arrangement at Prairie Song
