Prairie Meadows

Prairie Meadows began operations as a non-profit organization in 1989 with the goal to promote economic development, jobs, agriculture, and tourism for the state of Iowa.

Our inaugural season of live horseracing kicked off on March 1, 1989, followed six years later with the addition of our casino operations. We continued to grow and expand by adding table game operations in 2004 before welcoming The Meadows Events and Conference Center, AJ's Steakhouse, and the Triple Crown Buffet in early 2007. Prairie Meadows most recent development, our new 168-room hotel, opened in March 2012 to rave reviews.

The remarkable entertainment options have made Prairie Meadows a featured destination for 24-hour casino fun, live and simulcast horse racing, national and international entertainment, and full-service banquet and dining amenities. Our new facilities are also ideal for hosting large community events, business meetings, trade shows, and celebrations with friends and family.
