Mission:

The Portage Center for the Arts is dedicated to the cultural growth and enhancement of those living in Portage and the surrounding area.

Our mission is to promote and foster the arts by providing a community venue and programming for the visual arts, performing arts, and arts education. The Center seeks to achieve its mission by developing alliances between itself and arts educators, artists, children, youth, and supporters of the arts.

About Us:

A 501(c) 3 non-profit arts organization the Center offers a yearly six concert Performing Arts Series and monthly art exhibits from September through May. We are home to the Gale Singers Community Choir who perform two concerts annually. Our Zona Gale Young People's Theatre consists of a Children's Theatre Workshop and Youth Theatre Workshop during the summer and produces one or two full-scale productions each year. We sponsor a Photos in the Foyer photography competion monthly from September through May with a different theme each month. Our Art that Blooms event features original art and the poetry and fresh floral arrangements they inspire. During the year we host other special events and activities. Our facility is available for rental.
