History:

Milbank Country Club was founded in 1929 with sand greens.  It was a nine-hole course owned by stockholders. During 1947-49, three grass greens each year were built. Jack Davenport expanded a slough to an 80 acre lake that was used for irrigation. During a drought in 1976, Bob Schreiner and member volunteers put in a fairway irrigation system.

In February 1995, the shareholders sold the existing nine-hole golf course and 75 acres to Randy and Robin Patnoe. An additional nine holes, designed by Jack Davenport and developed by Marty Johnson ( Sioux City , IA ), were built.  The golf course was then renamed Pine Hills Golf Course, open to the public.

Today, Pine Hills Golf Course features multiple bentgrass teeboxes and 10,000 square foot greens. The Whetstone Creek runs through this 18 hole championship golf course located 2 ½ miles north of Milbank on Highway 15.
