About Us:

The Historic Paramount Theatre is owned and operated by the Austin Area Commission for the Arts (AACA), an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The Austin Area Commission for the Arts envisions a vibrant and successful community enriched by diverse arts, entertainment, and cultural activities. We will accomplish this vision through our mission to identify, engage, and support the development and advancement of diverse arts, entertainment, and cultural activities that benefit people in Austin and the surrounding area.

The Austin Area Commission for the Arts's primary purpose in owning and operating The Historic Paramount Theatre is to program and make available to the Austin community and surrounding area a high quality performance venue for diverse arts, entertainment, and cultural activities. While achieving this goal, we are committed to maintaining the theatre's status on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Austin Area Commission for the Arts is operated by a full-time Executive Director, two part-time staff members, and a large base of volunteers. Our volunteers assist with box office ticket sales, cleaning,  concession sales, event staff, mailings, and many other details too numerous to mention. The Austin Area Commission for the Arts is truly grateful for this dedicated group of individuals.
