Now in its 35th season, the Orchestra of Indian Hill is the region's leading professional orchestra. Under the direction of Artistic Director Bruce Hangen, the 75-member orchestra presents symphonic and popular music from October through April at Littleton High School Performing Arts Center. Affiliated with Indian Hill Music, the Orchestra has performed in over 10 area communities, collaborated with many area choruses, and has been featured on WGBH radio's "Classical Performances" program.
Acclaimed performers who have appeared with the orchestra in past seasons include clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, violinist Joseph Silverstein, American composer David Amram, BSO concertmaster Malcolm Lowe, BSO flutist Jacques Zoon, cellist Matt Haimovitz, violinist Irina Muresanu, sitarist Anoushka Shankar, and pianists Mia Chung, Russell Sherman and David Deveau.
The programs of Indian Hill Music are sponsored in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a stage agency.
