History:
Oak Quarry owes its unique settings to a long history of mining for marble in the Jensen Quarry, which in its operating heyday supplied limestone, marble and 88 various minerals for the construction of roads, large buildings and private residences in the greater Los Angeles area. During World War I, Jensen Quarry was a major source of marble located only in this area of the Inland Empire. It was abandoned in 1979. Twenty-two years later, Dr. Gil Morgan and Schmidt-Curley Design laid out one of California’s most incredible golf courses.
