Nepenthe Ale House

Our Story:

The Candia Road Brewing Co. & Nepenthe Ale House is a small, independently owned family business located on the east side of Manchester, New Hampshire.  We officially opened our doors to the public on January 1, 2012.  Without any previous knowledge or experience in the brewing industry, we took a novice and humble approach; make a thousand mistakes and learn slowly as we move forward.  Today, we are fully-operational and having more fun than ever.  We have grown very organically, sticking to what was feasible and figuring out what works and what, well, just doesn't work.  As a brewery, we focus on producing small-scale examples of somewhat traditional American and European-style ales.  Style guidelines are certainly considered, but tend to blur as we bring everything together.  As a culmination these processes and happy accidents, we brew by our own own set of merits: "post-modern takes on an ancient tradition."
