For more than 100 years, families have been driving from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and points beyond to visit the Milburn Orchards. The family owned and operated farm has been growing and selling fresh fruit since 1902, and is now run by the fourth generation of the Milburn family.
The orchard was established by Esma B. Milburn, in 1902. His son, John W. Milburn then ran the farm until his sons, Evan and John took over the responsibility. Now, Evan and John are technically retired, but show up often to help the fourth generation.
Today, John’s three children have the following responsibilities: Jay Milburn is the retail manager of the farm market and the person who keeps the mechanical wheels running all over the farm. Jay’s wife, Ilene, helps him in the farm market and manages the Orchard View Lunch & Ice Cream Deck. David Milburn is the site manager and manages all outdoor activities and special events. Melinda Milburn Palmeri is responsible for the accounting, advertising & marketing, and bake shoppe management.
Many other friends & family members also help in many ways when they are most needed, and just about everyone is available to help during the fall festivals. This includes our own kids! They are very important to the success of our family business!
