Michigan Duffers Golf Course

Northwest Edge of Town
Michigan, ND 58259

701-259-2588

The Michigan Duffers golf course was opened as a three hole sand green course in 1958. Oscar Bondy and several volunteers are credited with establishing our course and later expanding the course to five and then nine holes.

The original Michigan Duffers Club clubhouse was a chicken house donated by Hill Lamb and remodeled by club members. As membership increased an addition was added to include a kitchen, dining area and bathrooms.  Many a good time was had by members in what once a "hen house". If only those walls could have talked!

Today our course is a nine hole course featuring artificial greens with 1,987 total course yards. The course is open to the public and offers all day play for only $10.00 in green fees.

The original club house has been replaced with a new state of the art facility built by volunteers in 2005 and funded through donations and local fund raising. Michigan is very proud of the new facility and thank all those that made it possible. Mike Barney and Dale Staniszewski of Prairie Builders Construction were given lifetime memberships for their role in making this dream a reality.

The clubhouse is available for private gatherings and has already witnessed wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation and Christmas parties.

The Duffers Club holds Women's Night on each Tuesday and Men's Night on each Thursday during golf season. A great meal is always served by members who take turns serving their fellow golfers. The club also holds an annual hole-in-one contest during Michigan Days. Participants compete for a $10,000 prize for a hole in. Phil Lamb of Michigan has been the only winner to date but it is just a matter of time before someone else takes home the money.

New members are always welcome and annual dues are only $100 for each member over 21 and $25 for those under the age of 21. Contact any of the Duffers Board if you would like to join the fun at one of Michigan's hot spots.
