MetroWest YMCA Family Outdoor Center

The MetroWest YMCA Family Outdoor Center in Hopkinton, MA is located just 25 miles west of Boston, and 35 miles north of Providence. 

Located on 116 wooded acres abutting the Ashland Reservoir, the MetroWest YMCA Hopkinton Branch provides an ideal setting for a variety of different activities.

The Family Outdoor Center is an outdoor center with facilities that include two outdoor swimming pools; athletic fields and courts for archery, basketball, soccer, street hockey, volleyball and more; canoeing, kayaking, and fishing on the Reservoir; nature trails and campsites; lodges and pavilions; and one of the largest team-building ropes courses in New England.

Daily more than 900 children, ages 4-15, receive a “world of good” through our 16 separate Day Camp programs.  They develop a sense of self-worth, make new friends, and grow in a safe, healthy and supportive environment.

More than 95 families come together to enjoy the sun, each other and build stronger families with our Family Swim Club program. 

Throughout the rest of the year many groups enjoy our facilities and grounds for company picnics, conferences, team-building, personal challenges, family reunions, church retreats, business meetings.  Food service from box lunches to barbeques and clam bakes can be arranged for groups of all sizes.

School Aged Program  We also offer a before and after school program serving children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. 

The Family Outdoor Center is also an incredible place to have your birthday! Different options are available including Vertical Parties for ages 10 and up.  At these parties you get to try out our Climbing Tower!
