Meriwether Springs Vineyard is Charlottesville's newest and best-located winery. Minutes from Charlottesville in the town of Ivy, our winery features a 5,000 square foot event center of stunning post and beam architecture. Situated on 40 private acres, the property also features two ponds, a three-acre lake, and beautiful Ivy Creek, which flanks the property. Meriwether Springs is part of the original estate of the famed explorer, Meriwether Lewis. Lewis was commissioned by Thomas Jefferson to lead an exploration of the recently acquired Louisiana Purchase.
