It is the mission of the Melvindale Downtown Development Authority Farmer's Market to serve as a community-gathering place; enhancing community health; establishing a venue supporting local farmers, gardeners, and vendors to sell fresh produce, homemade food items, crafts, and live plants to members of the public; and increasing traffic to the Melvindale Downtown Development Authority District benefiting local businesses in the district.
