Opened in February 1990, the New Jersey Castle is located just one mile west of the Meadowlands Sports Complex, which includes Giants Stadium (home of the NY Giants and NY Jets football teams), Continental Airlines Arena (home of the NJ Nets and NJ Devils) and the Meadowlands Racetrack. Situated just 13 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport, the Meadowlands Castle is just a short 15-minute drive from bustling Midtown Manhattan. The 80,000 sq. ft. castle features a 1,350 seat tournament arena.
In the past, this Castle regularly hosted professional boxing matches for the popular Tuesday Night Fights series on the USA Network, cheerleading competitions, corporate meetings and bridal expos. In the next two years, the Xanadu project will be completed at the site of the Meadowlands Sports Complex and will offer a giant entertainment-retail center, office towers and hotel. The center, which will be 20 percent larger than Garden State Plaza in nearby Paramus, will certainly attract more guests to this unique Castle venue.
