McIntosh Theatre Arts Company

Mission:

The McIntosh Theatre Arts Company (MTAC) will provide a diverse and creative venue for community involvement that will make McIntosh County a cultural arts destination.

About Us:

MTAC was formed during the summer of 2008; is incorporated under GA law; and was granted an IRS 501(c) (3) designation. Membership is open to any interested person for a $10 annual fee. The objective is to feature cultural and historically accurate events/plays and dramas associated with the founding and development of the Southeastern Coast of Georgia as well as to provide the community with a theatrical venue. 

MTAC members and its board spent the better part of eighteen months raising money to commission a playwright, Laurie Jo Upchurch, to write a historical play about McIntosh County. Laurie Jo delivered the play to the review committee on Monday, October 5, 2009.

MTAC is looking for actors and people to help with set building, painting scenery, costuming, light design, prop mistress, along with many other talents.
