To serve the musical, cultural and entertainment needs of Grant County and surrounding counties and to provide educational opportunities for audiences which foster a greater appreciation and understanding of music.

Since it began in 1969, the MPO has evolved from a group of local musicians and students into a professional symphony with artistic and educational initiatives that provide the framework for each season. The longevity of an orchestra with such high artistic standards is truly remarkable for a community of our size. More than 45 years later, the community we serve has demonstrated a mutual commitment to the arts and the cultural vitality of our area.
