Mallard Cove Golf Course

You are now at the website of one of the best municipal golf courses in Southwest Louisiana.This golf course has been owned and operated by the City of Lake Charles since opening in 1976 and has been recognized for excellence by Golf Digest magazine.

It is a very special project that we are proud to show off.  Hurricane Rita damaged the clubhouse in 2005 beyond repair.  We waited for over 3 ½ years to see this project completed.  It is a grand structure for a municipal golf facility that features a southern flavor with a craftsman style.  It is very inviting, comfortable, and is a wonderful asset for our golf operations.  You will definitely enjoy the new amenities to complement your round of golf!

The course features 25 large bunkers and water hazards coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes.  The Championship course rating is 73.0 and the slope is 128.  We are host to all of Lake Charles' City Championships and many other local fundraising golf events, including the annual Summer Shoot-out Series.
