Owner Operated since 1983 by Pat and Helaine Borge, Makena Stables offers much more than "just a trail ride ". We offer a unique riding opportunity for you to saddle up and ride with the owner of the Stables, a Maui born Paniolo (cowboy) whose knowledge & aloha for the aina (land) and his horses shines through on each tour. This is the "real thing"

We have Exceptional quality horses, many raised and trained by us. And because we really love what we do, this shows in the care of the horses and in the quality of your experience. We match each person to their horse by ability and offer help and lessons as needed to each rider, sharing our insight into the animals that you will be getting to know.
