About the Theatre:
The Madrid Theatre is a 440-seat professional-level performing arts facility located at the heart of historic Antique Row in downtown Canoga Park, California. The Madrid Theatre is dedicated to artistic excellence in all areas of the visual and performing arts.
Once called “…the largest theatre on the smallest piece of land in the United States…” the Madrid offers a state-of-the-art performance facility for professional, community, and student productions; an expansive exhibit space for visual artists; and an arena for Madrid Theatre productions.
One of the largest live theaters in the San Fernando Valley, the venue is the crown jewel of the cultural renaissance currently going on in the area. Professionally managed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, the Madrid Theatre encourages the presentation of artistic and cultural events that reflect the interests and high expectations of our surrounding community.
Friends of the Madrid
The Friends of the Madrid provides completion stipends for performing arts groups and helps promote the artistic excellence of the theatre.
The Volunteers at the Madrid
The Volunteers of the Madrid support the theater and its programs and serve as ushers for our performances.
