To conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.

For more than 100 years, Audubon has inspired people to enjoy, appreciate, and protect the natural world.  Today, amid a host of environmental threats, our mission is more important than ever.  Fortunately, there are many new and exciting ways to get involved.  Together, we can shape a healthier tomorrow – for birds, other wildlife, and the environment we share.

Louisville Audubon Society works to protect birds, not only because they are beautiful and awe-inspiring, but because they are a crucial link in the chain of life.  Louisville Audubon works together with other local partners to create and conserve habitat, educate the public about  all the benefits birds bring to our lives, and to increase awareness of the perils birds face in an increasingly human dominated world.
