About Us:
Circa 1995, two friends met in Kindergarten. Twenty years later, they opened Trollingwood Taproom & Brewery.
The concept for Trollingwood dates back to November 2012 and was born out of necessity: Greenville offered very few options for beer drinkers. Before Trollingwood, Greenville was the largest city in North Carolina that lacked a brewery. Three years, a business plan, legal hoops, a name change, numerous setbacks and countless hours, we excited to finally bring our concept to the people of Greenville. We have received thankless support from friends, family, business leaders, government leaders and everyday citizens and cannot thank you enough.
We look forward to serving you!

The Brewery
Trollingwood Taproom & Brewery operates on a 3 barrel natural gas powered brewing system and uses a rotation of four fermenters and three brite beer serving tanks. The space contains 2000 square feet of brewing and taproom space including a brew house floor, open seating for guests and a long bar. Additionally, a spacious outdoor patio and convenient on-site parking is provided for your enjoyment.
Trollingwood is housed in a building that dates back to 1924. It was completely renovated in 2014 and 2015. The renovation was overseen by contractors which specialize in adaptive-reuse construction techniques. They successfully preserved the historic character of the building while updating it to modern functional standards. Throughout its history, our building has served as a restaurant, a car dealership, a furniture store and other retail uses throughout its near century of serving the 700 block of Dickinson Avenue.
