The Links at Challedon, nestled in Mount Airy in Carroll County opened in 1996.
The course is named after the Maryland-bred horse that won the 1939 Preakness is among the state’s best. Par-72 course designed by Brian Ault.
The clubhouse features a lavish pro shop and restaurant. The practice area includes a driving range, two putting greens and a chipping green complete with bunker.
Time has matured this 6,700 yard, Par 72 Brian Ault design. It is now among the Maryland golf and Baltimore golf communities elite, consistently ranked by Washington Golf Monthly as "One of the Top 100 Places to Play" in the Washington golf course ranks.
The Frederick area golf course features large undulating bent-grass greens and strategically placed green side bunkers that have a traditional links design. Water comes into play on six of 18 holes, challenging golfers of all levels of ability.
