This course has undulating greens and fairways, and mature trees scattered throughout the design. There are three ponds that come into play and many sand bunkers.

The clubhouse was built in 1865, and the oldest house in Kentucky is also located on the course.

From the longest tees it features 6,512 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course rating is 68.4 with a slope rating of 114.
