Laurel Little Theatre

About Us:

Our Laurel Little Theatre was organized back in August 1961 when a group of local theatre lovers got together at the old Pinehurst Coffee Shop and formed the group. Their two-fold goal was to present Laurel citizens with entertainment and to give would be thespians a chance to get up on a stage and ham it up for their friends and family. Forty-five years later that's still our main goal at the theatre. Little did they know that one day that very group they organized would be performing in the movie house just next door to the Coffee Shop.

Our 77 year old building has seen many, many movies over the years, and now a long legend of stage performances has taken it into the 21st century. We've also hosted Community Concert performances, local high school dramatic presentations, beauty pageants, convention gatherings, concerts, and meetings. Long range plans are to build an annex on the south side of the building to add much needed backstage space.
