The Lancaster Golf Club was originally formed during the World War II era with three sand-green holes. Somewhere around 1960, six more were built and it became a 9-hole sand green course which operated until 1995. This was the last sand green course in the area. July 1, 1995, a beautiful, challenging, 9-hole grass green course was opened The course is built on land owned by the City of Lancaster and is governed by the Lancaster Riverside Golf Club Board of Directors. IT has matured into a manicured top-of-the-line golf course with greens averaging 5,000 squarre feet.
The course also features a practice putting green, and a driving range. Eighteen rental carts are available.
