About Our Family Farm:
Kelder’s Farm is a 200 year old family farm located in the Hudson Valley in Kerhonkson, NY. This bicentennial family farm is a popular agricultural destination for families to take a step away from the hustle and bustle of life, unplug and reconnect with your family and your roots. Today, the Kelder family has opened their farm to the community, offering pick-your-own fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, apples, and many vegetables including sweet corn, tomatoes, pumpkins and more. In addition, the farm has fun farm activities engaging the whole family of all ages. This family farm started as a small idea and grew into one of the Hudson Valley’s most unique experiences with over 100 acres of seasonal produce, a CSA, farm market and an educational program for many school children every year. In the last 200 years, our family has farmed chickens, pigs and dairy cattle, and has become a popular agri-tourism destination.
Kelder’s Farm, is an award winning sustainable farm in the Hudson Valley, and hosts friendly farm animals, Homegrown Mini-Golf, a massive, kid-pleasing jumping pillow, and a famous, record-setting giant garden gnome. You can visit one of the world’s Largest Garden Gnomes here at our farm – (Guinness Book of World Records 2009). On this small farm just 90 miles north of New York City, Chris and Jackie Kelder had the vision to turn their portion of the beautiful farmland into something everyone could enjoy and appreciate fresh produce. And now, John Kelder, the next generation, has joined us to help carry on our family tradition. What started out as a dairy farm and a few rows of strawberries, with an old homemade sign, has quickly turned into a healthy seasonal attraction that families from miles around visit year after year- that’s how we have blossomed over the centuries.
