Incumbo Theater Company
Mission:
The Incumbo Theater Company was founded on the belief that one of the fundamental purposes of art is to challenge those who experience it on a personal, social, and ideological level. Also, that the voice of change comes in many forms, often from unexpected places in the world. It is therefore our desire to seek out and nurture artists from many different backgrounds, uniting unique talents, skills, and viewpoints under a common purpose: to develop and present new works that focus attention on and offer exploration of a wide range of questions currently facing contemporary society.
It is our belief that responsibility to the art and the issues we present ends not in production, but within the community. We therefore strive to develop relationships with other organizations dedicated to similar causes, allowing the opportunity to fully realize our commitment to art and its power for social change.
