Immokalee, Collier County's largest inland community, has long been associated with sprawling cattle ranches and a thriving agricultural economy. The Immokalee Pioneer Museum now lies at the site that was home to cattleman Robert Roberts and his family. This 15-acre living history museum offers a rare glimpse of daily life on an actual Southwest Florida ranch from the early 1900's. Displays and nineteen carefully preserved buildings tell the story of those who struggled to tame a sprawling wilderness on the edge of the Big Cypress Swamp at the turn of the last century.
The Immokalee Pioneer Museum at Roberts Ranch is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in downtown Immokalee, 44 miles east of Naples.
Located in Immokalee, just off Main Street and Roberts Ave. West. Immokalee is accessed by either SR29 or CR82 East.
