Houston's Center Stage Theater

Houston's Center Stage Theater (HCST) was originally founded in 2002 with a vision to provide a safe, enriching and innovative environment for children and youth to learn, develop and showcase their talents in theater arts. The HCST Executive Board is made up of volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds: from folks who have spent hundreds of hours performing on the stage, to those who have spent hundreds sweeping it! Our magement team brings skills in drama, vocal performance, theater tech, dance, business development, marketing, education, engineering, and law. Our Artistic Director alone has performed in hundreds of shows, including perfoming with a National Broadway tour in a lead role. Our Advisory Board includes persons with true artistic vision, broad collective theater knowledge, a wide spectrum of teaching experience, and most importantly to us, a true "Heart for the Arts" and for those people, young and old, who love theater. Along with select partners in the Northwest area, we have planned an exciting 2011-2012 inaugural season for our Young Entertainers Stage (Y.E.S!). These main stage shows--selected, directed and cast entirely with talented teen and child actors will introduce fresh faces, experienced educators and theatre veterans to youth musical theater in Houston.
