Open Year Round

About Us:

Elke and Earl Hodges began to build the winery and plant vines in 2008. Earl had been making wine as a hobby for several years and so enjoyed it that he decided to turn his hobby into a business.  The plan was to bring a little elegance to East Central Alabama.

The couple have owned  RV Parks in both Guntersville and Gulf Shores for many years. In their business they travel across the full length of Alabama weekly, stopping in Auburn to visit their son, his wife, and their grandaughter. Their son Russel has a Doctorate from Auburn University and has his own business in Auburn, but makes himself available to help Dad with the chemistry of making wine.

The winery opened for tasting in May of 2011 and was received so well that people were asking about holding parties and weddings on their beautiful grounds.  In response, Earl plans to build an event center as a separate building on the property between the vines, gazebos, and sparkling pond.  The project will begin in the very near future.

Since we opened our doors in May of 2011, we've developed a loyal follwing of repeat   customers.  People tell us that in addition to enjoying our wine, they enjoy visiting because we treat every customer as if they were part of our family.  Other wineries may offer similar services but we know our customers enjoy the personal touch and friendliness they experience when they visit as well.
