Re-Opening in it's new hangar, January 2009!

The Heritage Flight Museum, founded in 1996 by Maj. General William Anders (Apollo 8 astronaut), is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation and flying of historic military aircraft, and to keeping their rich history alive through public education.

Located in a small hanger at the Bellingham International Airport, the Heritage Flight Museum maintains a fleet of airworthy and frequently-flown WWII, Korea & Viet Nam era aircraft. The collection includes the following aircraft: P-51 Mustang, Douglas Skyraider, North American T-6, Fairchild PT-19, Boeing Stearman, L-13 Grasshopper, North American SN-J, 0-1 BirdDog, 0-2 Skymaster, H-13 M*A*S*H helicopter, Max Holste Broussard and DeHavilland Beaver.

The Museum is currently open once a month, on the 3rd Saturday, from 12:00-4:00. Admission is by donation. Kids activities, membership and volunteer opportunities available.
