About Us:

Heartland Players' Theater began in 1995 under the direction of Bob Hilton. Hilton, former president of Yucaipa Little Theatre, hoped to bring his style of off-Broadway productions to Yucaipa when he began Heartland Players' Theater.  In 2006, Didi Pelev became the executive producer of the company. In this role, Didi is responsible for producing a full season of family friendly, original productions. Didi, who is assisted by her daughters, Dimyana and Tracy, writes most of these scripts. Heartland Players' Theater is staffed completely by volunteers. Actors of all ages are encouraged to audition for roles. In addition to directing Heartland Players' Theater Company, Didi is also president of Stars of Tomorrow Children's Theater Camps.
