Heartland Golf Club

850 Pine Valley Drive
Elizabethtown, KY 42701

About Us:

This course has a long history, formerly known as Pine Valley Golf to most people in the area. However, most don’t know that before it had that name, it was known as Lonesome Pine. Originally built by Bill Poole, the course was taken over by Burton Langley in 1966. After the purchase was complete, the name was changed to Pine Valley and stayed that way until April of 2012.

On April 23rd, 2012, the course has begun a new journey with new owners – Loy Brashear and John Potts. After purchasing Pine Valley and Three Putt Willies (the sports pub), the duo chose the name Heartland Golf Club and Sports Pub and opened for business in the midst of a major renovation to the clubhouse and restaurant areas. Much-needed work has also begun on the course, bringing it back to its former glory. We are all very excited to see what the spring season brings!

A little known fact about Heartland Golf Club: two years, back-to-back, the course has played host to the Ben Hogan Tour. In May of 1990 and May of 1991, the Nationwide, 30-city tour came through the heartland of Kentucky and descended right here in Elizabethtown. Though this tour was taken over by the Nike Tour, Buy.com Tour, Nationwide Tour, and now the Web.com Tour, it played a very important role in the careers of some notable PGA pros such as Tom Lehman and Jeff Maggert.
