The Hartington Golf Course, one of the premier golf courses in Northeast Nebraska, is located west of Highway 57 on Felber Street. The 9-hole course features a mixture of tree-lined holes over varying terrain. The course record of 28 was set in 1994 by local resident Jason Merkel. The 9-hole course in Hartington, Nebraska features 2,995 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36 . The course rating is 35.4 and it has a slope rating of 120. The Hartington golf course opened in 1949.

This tree lined course has a couple of dogleg fairways. There are spruce trees that can alter your shots on seven holes. The greens are average in size and speed. The fairways are fairly narrow. There are no water hazards on this course. The ladies' par is actually 38.
