About Us:
Currently in it's 46st season, Hardin County Playhouse is an award winning community theater. Originally located in Radcliff, Kentucky, HCP has called several places home over the years. Whether it be "The Barn",
the college, the old Sears building (lovingly called the "Dumpster Theater") or it's current home since 2005 at the Plum Alley Theater (located at the Historic State Theater) HCP has always striven to bring the highest quality entertainment to it's patrons.
In 2006, HCP was awarded the honor of Best Play at the Kentucky State Theater Festival for their production of "Wit." The cast and crew also brought home awards for Best Direction, Best Actress, Best Stage Management, Best Lighting Design and Best Technical Crew.
In 2010, for their production of "Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will?," HCP once again brought home awards from the Kentucky State Theater festival including
Best Play, Best Direction and Best Supporting Actor.
In 2012, the Playhouse was again honored with awards from the Kentucky State Theater festival including Best Play, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
This time the production was the emotionally charged
"The Laramie Project".
