Grand Beach Municipal Golf Course

48200 Perkins Boulevard
New Buffalo, MI 49117

269-469-4888

In the beginning of the 1900's Floyd R. Perkins purchased 600 acres of dunes in the western part of New Buffalo Township.

They build roads, bridges, waterworks, and a 9-hole golf course to accommodate the upcoming tourist industry.

Grand Beach's development continued with the completion of an 18-hole golf course, a club house and three Frank Lloyd Wright homes. The famous Golfmore Hotel made its debut in 1922, but was completely destroyed by fire in 1939. This great loss, however, did not stop the Village from growing and becoming incorporated in 1934.
