Golden City Brewery

About Us:

The family and staff at Golden City Brewery were shocked by the news of the earthquake near Kathmandu, Nepal, which has affected to many of our friends who live there. We are part of a small group of Americans who invested with our Nepalese friends to start the first craft brewery in Nepal. The brewery just started operations in Chainpur 8, Chitwan, Nepal. You may have seen the photos of our Brewmaster, Charlie Sturdavant, in Nepal helping to get the brewery going.

Now we need to help our friends and neighbors to provide basics like medical supplies, food, gasoline, blankets and clothing following this terribly devastating earthquake. Our office is in Kathmandu and the need there is dire. Since we have an existing bank relationship in Nepal, we can transfer funds from our collection account here in the States directly to Nepal overnight. We also have people in Nepal, at: Lukla, Chainpur, Pokara and Kathmandu who can assess the needs and distribute aid very quickly.

The Sherpa Brewery was shaken but not harmed.  We can use our Chainpur facility for collection and distribution of aid. Thanks for your support.
