Gil Morgan Golf Course

About Us:

Our course covers 88 acres and is located in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Wewoka is situated 17 miles south of Interstate 40 Exit 212 on highway 56. We are located at the end of 7th Street on the east side of the city. Our hours of operation are from 7 am to 7 pm (summer hours). Our 9-hole golf course has a unique layout that will challenge and test your golfing skills. We are open nearly year round to the public.

The course is named after Dr. Gil Morgan, a professional golfer who was born and raised in Wewoka. Morgan attended East Central State College in Ada and graduated in 1968. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972. He turned pro that same year and has won 24 times on the Champions Tour, with three of those wins at Seniors Majors. Gil is currently a Pro at Oak Tree in Edmond, where he and his wife, Jeanine currently reside. He continues to visit Wewoka and gives golf clinics at special tournament events. Gil's generous support through the years has helped our course to grow and enable local golfers to enjoy the game they love.
