Egwani Farms Golf Course originally opened in 1991 after a decades-old farm was converted into a tournament-caliber golf course to serve both local and visiting golfers. The golf course has garnered numerous accolades, including recognition among Golf Digest magazine's "Places to Play," and has hosted numerous high profile competitive and charity golf events.
The name "Egwani" is Cherokee for "little river." The Little River borders the golf course for over a mile and figures prominently in the strategic makeup of the course.
