The history of east Linn County told through a growing collection of photos, artifacts, and documents.
The East Linn Museum began in 1973 with the formation of the Museum Association sponsored by the Sweet Home Beatification Committee. The small collection that was settled into the current location in 1975 has blossomed and grown to several thousand artifacts, photos, documents, and records. Visitors are treated to a unique glimpse in to the daily lives of the early families of east Linn County through the tools, household items, medical instruments, equipment, photos, and countless other items of the farmers, horse wranglers, blacksmiths, loggers, carpenters, and many other characters
The East Linn Museum Society (ELMS) is non-profit organization. The Museum is run, maintained, and managed entirely by volunteers and financially supported solely by its members and visitors to the East Linn Museum. With out the efforts of the amazing volunteers and the support of the community this museum would not exist as it does today.
