About Us:

At Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, golf is the sport of choice, thanks to our four championship courses. Nowhere else in the Midwest area are rolling hills incorporated so seamlessly into pristine courses, making each game of golf both challenging and rewarding.

The four golf courses of Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, which offer a total of 63 holes, boast their own facilities including a clubhouse complete with golf shop and grill. Whether you're a golf amateur, intermediate or professional, our award-winning courses will bring you back again and again.

The General Course:

Eagle Ridge's crowning achievement, The General, opened to rave reviews in 1997 - - being voted one of the top 10 golf courses to open in the country. For the 12th year in a row, The General has been ranked in the top 100 golf courses you can play by Golf Digest magazine. There is a 250 foot elevation change throughout the entire golf course, with spectacular views of three states: Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The signature hole on The General is hole #14, a par 4 with 180 feet of elevation change from tee to green. When The General opened in 1997, golf carts were restricted to the cart path only. Since then vast improvements have been made to the paths and those restrictions have been lifted. The General is a course for all abilities and is a must to play!

South Course:

The South Course opened in 1984 and in 1996 was voted one of the top 75 upscale courses in the country. As it compares to the North Course, the South Course winds through a beautiful wooded valley where streams come into play on 11 of the 18 holes. The signature hole on the South is hole #18, a 406-yard par 4 with the tee set 90 feet above a landing area which is guarded by lakes on both sides and a stream that crosses the fairway 265 yards from the tee. The second shot plays uphill to a well-bunkered elevated green. The South Clubhouse is the backdrop to this hole.

On the scorecard, the South may be shorter in yardage, but is by far the most difficult course on the property. If you want to test your accuracy and shot making skills, the South Course is for you.

North Course:

The North Course opened in 1977 and has been the catalyst for superior golf at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa. The North Course is characterized by scenic elevated tee boxes, long vistas throughout The Galena Territory countryside and plush, rolling fairways. The North is the only course on the property that gives you the opportunity to see a great view of Lake Galena in one of its more unique settings. The signature hole on the North is #8, which is a 165-yard par 3 with 80 feet of elevation change from tee to green. The tee shot on #8 crosses the corner of Lake Galena, opening up to a spectacular view of the lake and its abundant rock outcroppings.

East Course:

The East Course is a par 34, 9-hole course, with one par 5, three par 3s and four par 4s. The course has challenging undulating greens and beautiful rock outcroppings. The signature hole on the East Course is hole #3, a short, tight par 4 with a stream running all the way up the left and a 30-foot rock wall along the right. The hole plays 290 yards through a quiet, secluded valley. The bold big hitter may take a crack at driving this green.

The East Course is the ideal place for beginners, juniors and for those that only have time to play 9-holes. The East is also home to Eagle Ridge's U.S. Kids Junior Golf Course.
