Mission
The mission of the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts is to promote life-long learning of the visual and performing arts; to offer a variety of cultural entertainment and enriching programs to the academic life of the College and the communities of Nash/Edgecombe counties in accommodating a wide range of public interests.
The Dunn Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan College. The facility includes the 1,200 seat Minges Auditorium, the intimate Powers Recital Hall, and several galleries including the Mims Gallery. Other spaces include the Carlton Board Room and a formal lobby, as well as an acting classroom.
The Dunn Center is proud to host the Wesleyan Season Series of cultural events. In addition to these world-class performances, the Dunn Center features a variety of campus and community events, including Campus Activity Board concerts, Wesleyan Theatre department productions, and concerts of the Tar River Orchestra and Chorus.
