About Us:

David's father, Claude, purchased the original parcel back in 1930.  He raised mostly fruits and vegetables which were packed and sold to the market in Philadelphia.  He farmed the land until his death in 1953.  It was at this time that David took over the farm and purchased additional land adjacent to his father's farm.

David continued to raise the same produce as his father.  However, as it became increasingly difficult for David to support his family, Mary decided to sell strawberries on their front porch.  As demand grew, David built a small market out of four posts and a roof and began to sell a variety of fruits and vegetables.  Through several expansions, Duffield's Farm Market has grown into the large market that it is today, including a bakery & deli.

We are still family run and operated for over 60 years with a growing family now in our 5th generation.  Our four-post market has expanded into a family managed market, bakery & deli.  We have also added many outdoor activities in both the Spring & Fall seasons including, birthday parties, hayrides, and educational field trips.  Our farm is also family managed and run year round with several seasonal migrant workers during the busy season.  Our family pride in, and dedication to agriculture, drives us to ensure the same farming opportunity to the next generation.

Our family is looking into the future to keep our farm in your community and to provide you with the best, locally grown fruits and vegetables from our farm to your table.
