History
Drue and Jim Chryst of Lake Mohawk opened their art gallery in 1992 in the White Deer Plaza in Sparta, New Jersey. Housing original works by local, national, and international award winning artists, the gallery features works in oil, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media, as well as museum-edition bronze sculpture. Art collectors and browsers are always welcome to enjoy the works of featured artists The gallery schedules a number of individual and group shows throughout the year, including the summer months, when patrons enjoy "Art in the Garden" on the patio, at the rear of the gallery. Popular services include: home and office wall scaping advice, convenient payment plans, and, customers are invited to preview paintings in their home before purchase.
The gallery also offers a custom framing service. Customers can select from 2,200 moulding styles and mat colors, and be assured of a creative solution to all their framing needs. "As a member of the Professional Picture Framers Association, we have access to the latest technological information. "We have framed just about everything from christening gowns, sports memorabilia, military decorations, historic flags and family heirlooms." Additional space is devoted to prints, paintings and memorabilia from Lake Mohawk and the surrounding areas. The gallery also stocks a large selection of limited edition prints and lithographs.
