Downtown Festival and Art Show

The nationally recognized Downtown Festival and Art Show transforms downtown Gainesville into a masterful blend of art, music, and entertainment, drawing a crowd of more than 80,000. Presented by the City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, the festival celebrates its 38th anniversary in 2019. For two days, visitors can marvel at works from 240 of the nation’s most talented artists, who display their original oils and acrylics, vibrant watercolors, captivating sculptures, dazzling jewelry, decorative ceramics and vivid photography.

Since 1996, the Downtown Festival and Art Show has ranked among the top festivals in the nation. With such a diverse array of unique art displayed for sale and competition, it is a great way to purchase one-of-a-kind art for you or a friend. Join us Saturday, November 16th and Sunday November 17th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to meet the exhibiting artists, enjoy live music, and sample international cuisine.
